The World of Asher Feldman

These 4 paintings show the broad spectrum of Feldmans brush in one prolific year (1929-30). The shepherd is arguably one of his best paintings ever - note the luminousness of the cloudy desert sky. The carnival is an outstanding celebration of color, untypical of Feldman who usually strived to deliver an accurate reflection of what he saw. This painting offers a rare glimpse into the artists soul in a moment of strength and optimism.
